CHRIS CRAFT. THE MISUNDERSTOOD PURE BLOOD GLIDER

Seen typically in lengths 100 up to 120, some may say that is the most misunderstood surfboard shape: designed as a glider, is not a longboard nor a log, not a nose rider and we all can see that is not a stand up paddle-board. So, what does this mean?

It’s avery long board proportionally really narrow and relatively thin for the length it has. Proportionally it would be quite thinner than a gun with the same length, and with a square tail, not a pin tail as you may have noticed already : ).

Its also a single fin, so there are several things that it makes it different from a gun, but we said it is not a longboard either. It is a pure blood glider.

WHAT MAKES THE CHRIS CRAFT SO SPECIAL?

This pure glider rides great in sloopy or kind of mushy junky waves even it has a good surf as long as its not super hollow. This board will make small surfing shine and in waves up to head high is quite nimble as long as they are breaking relatively slow.

The Chris Craft will gift you with insanely gliding speed when you take off if we compare it to a standard longboard or any kind of grovel short. Tons of speed and trim, and glide plus the ability to connect waves from way outside, all the way to shore, even when transitions are not breaking. Efficiency both paddling and surfing.

It is a super fun board and a bit technical as well. The first couple of times can feel technical because of the length but once you get the balance points on it, to paddle, to turn it, to walk on it This glider, if you put your weight on the tail, will pivot easily. Not a board to ride on the nose though; have you seen the nose? Not a place that will let you ride it comfortably there like a nose riding longboard. The Chris Craft is to be ridden from 3/4 overmid-section to the tail.

This one come with a single fin, a bit of belly up the middle and a little V and some concave in the back of the board., to loosen the board up and make it fun to ride. It has one hell of a stringer. The board will generate amazing down the line speed and still pivot off its square tail on a dime. Get ready to be surprised!
