The Groundhog, also known as a Woodchuck, is native to North Carolina. They are an adorable burrowing animal whose burrows are often used by other animals. Groundhogs are a common sight here in the Nantahala National Forest, often seen living amongst kudzu on the drive to our main rafting campus.
